UK Nursery Chain Faces Data Breach

In late September 2025, a hacker group named Radiant attempted to extort £100,000 in bitcoin from Kido Schools, a nursery chain operating in the UK and internationally, by stealing and publishing private data of approximately 8,000 children and their families. The stolen information, allegedly taken from the Famly platform, included photos, personal data, and contact details. Radiant began sharing this sensitive data on the dark web and urged parents to pressure Kido into paying the ransom. Amid backlash from both parents and the hacking community, including warnings from a Nova group affiliate about targeting children, Radiant issued an apology and claimed to have deleted all child-related data, removing it from their dark web site. However, affected parents remained skeptical, urging greater transparency from Kido to confirm which data had been published and whether their families were affected.
