Revolut Data Breach Exposes Customer Identity and Financial Records
Revolut disclosed customer information after attackers submitted fraudulent data requests from a legitimate government agency email domain. The breach reportedly affected 680 customers and exposed identity and financial records, including addresses, identification documents, verification images, account details, transaction histories, and Bitcoin activity. Revolut said its systems and customer funds remained secure, while the attackers reportedly threatened to publish the stolen data unless a ransom was paid. Affected customers should monitor for identity fraud and targeted phishing, avoid sharing security codes, and contact Revolut only through official channels.
