AT&T Data Breach Exposes 86 Million Decrypted Customer Records
AT&T has suffered another massive data breach this time involving the leak of 86 million customer records including names addresses phone numbers birthdates and 44 million Social Security numbers which were found in decrypted plaintext form on a dark web marketplace The data originally surfaced between May and June 2025 and may be tied to the exploitation of Snowflake cloud storage vulnerabilities but AT&T has not confirmed the source Security experts warn that the exposure of this volume of sensitive information in readable format significantly increases the risk of identity theft fraud and phishing.
